We are very pleased to welcome both you and your child to Year 3. Miss Shoesmith and Mr Smerchynsky will be teaching the class this year and we can't wait to support the children as they grow and achieve their potential.
In mathematics, we will be concentrating on building fluency in multiplication tables, while also strengthening children’s reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
In English, we will continue to promote a love of reading, with weekly visits to our well-resourced library. We also aim to inspire children as writers, encouraging creativity and imagination, while ensuring they develop confidence with spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
Our broader curriculum offers a wide range of experiences, including art, music, scientific enquiry, exploration, and opportunities to learn in our fantastic outdoor spaces.
